Employer terminated my contract a month before it was supposed to end?

I was working with an IT company in Bengaluru under a fixed-term contract that was supposed to end in August 2026. However, they suddenly terminated my contract in July 2026 citing poor performance, despite no prior warnings or reviews indicating this. I'm worried as this is affecting my livelihood and career. What are my rights in this situation? Can I challenge this termination or demand compensation?
