Employer refuses to pay due salary after I resigned, what can I do legally?

I recently resigned from my job at a tech company in Bengaluru, but my employer is not releasing my pending salary for the last two months. I completed my notice period and handed over all responsibilities. They claim some performance issues, but this was never communicated during my tenure.
