Employer terminated me without notice during my probation period. Is this legal?

I joined a startup in Bangalore three months ago and was on a six-month probation. Yesterday, I was suddenly called in and told my employment is terminated, effective immediately. They didn't give any reason or notice period. I'm shocked and worried about my financial situation. I thought there should at least be a notice period or some explanation. Is there anything I can do legally? Are there any laws protecting me in this situation?
