Overview

The High Court for the State of Telangana has its principal seat at Hyderabad and exercises jurisdiction over the State of Telangana. The institution has historical roots in the High Court of Hyderabad established in 1919 during the Nizam era. It later became the High Court of Andhra Pradesh in 1956 and subsequently served as the common High Court for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Pursuant to the Presidential order dated 26 December 2018, separate High Courts for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh came into existence on 1 January 2019. The Telangana High Court currently provides case-status, cause-list, judgments, e-Filing 3.0, eTHCR, Digi THCR, virtual/hybrid hearing, display-board, legal-services and other digital services.
