My business partner transferred company funds without informing me, what can I do?

I co-founded a startup in Bengaluru with a friend last year. We share equal stakes. Recently, I discovered that he transferred ₹10 lakh from our business account to his personal account without informing me. When I confronted him, he claimed it was for business expenses, but the amount is unaccounted for in our records. I feel betrayed and unsure about the legal recourse available to me. Can I take legal action against him for misappropriation of funds? How do I ensure the safety of our remaining assets?
