Employer terminated me after a heated argument, is this legal?

I was working in a software company in Bangalore for the last 3 years. Last week, after a heated argument with my manager over unrealistic project deadlines, I was abruptly terminated without any notice or severance package. They claimed it was for misconduct, but it feels like retaliation. I am worried about my future and unsure if they can legally do this. Can I challenge this in court or through a labor office? What steps should I take to protect my rights and seek justice?
