Employer not paying overtime despite extra hours logged in Chennai?

I work in an IT company in Chennai and have been logging extra hours for over three months due to increased workload. Despite this, my employer hasn't paid any overtime or given compensatory time off. I'm really frustrated because I've tried discussing this with HR but they keep delaying action. Is there a law that mandates overtime pay in India, and how can I ensure my rights are respected?
