What are my rights if my startup co-founder is hiding financial records?

I co-founded a tech startup in Bengaluru with a partner. Recently, I noticed discrepancies in our financial records and my co-founder has been avoiding discussions. I fear there may be misappropriation of funds. We haven't formalized our partnership with a detailed agreement yet. I'm anxious and need to know my rights to access these records and possibly protect my interests in the company.
