My landlord entered my Mumbai apartment without notice and took my belongings?

I came back home yesterday to find my landlord inside my apartment in Mumbai. He took some of my personal items claiming I owe him rent. But I always pay on time and have bank statements to prove it. I'm feeling violated and unsafe. What are my rights in this situation? How can I get my belongings back and protect myself legally?
