My landlord entered my flat without notice and took my belongings, is this legal?

I'm living in a rented apartment in Pune. Yesterday, while I was at work, my landlord entered my flat without informing me and took some of my personal belongings, claiming unpaid rent. I've been paying rent regularly but missed last month due to financial stress. Can he legally do this? What are my rights as a tenant in Maharashtra, and how do I get my belongings back?
