My landlord changed the locks while I was at work, is this legal?

I live in Pune and have been renting a flat here for the past year. Yesterday, I came back from work to find my landlord had changed the locks without any prior notice. He claims I haven't paid the rent for this month. But, I transferred the rent amount of ₹15,000 online, and my bank statement shows it was successful. I'm scared and confused because all my belongings are inside, and I have nowhere else to go. Is this action by my landlord legal? What steps can I take to resolve this?
