Landlord entered my rented flat without permission and took my belongings, can I file a case?

I rented an apartment in Mumbai and my landlord entered without any notice while I was at work. He took some of my personal belongings, claiming unpaid rent, which I have actually paid. I'm feeling violated and scared. I have all the payment receipts and the tenancy agreement. Can I file a police complaint against him for trespass and theft? What steps should I take legally to ensure my rights are protected?
