Landlord entered my flat without permission in Mumbai, what can I do?

I recently moved to Mumbai and rented a flat in Bandra. Yesterday, my landlord entered my flat without informing me. I was told by neighbors he does this when tenants are away. I'm feeling very uncomfortable and unsafe. Is this legal? What are my rights as a tenant in Maharashtra and how can I stop this from happening again? Can I take any legal action against him?
