Is it legal for my bank to hold my account citing KYC issues?

I'm a resident of Mumbai and my savings account has been frozen by my bank, claiming KYC issues. This happened two weeks back, and I've submitted all the necessary documents thrice already. My funds are stuck and I can't access my own money. The bank's customer service has been unhelpful and I feel stuck. Is there a legal way to expedite this process and get my account operational again?
