Is it legal for a landlord to enter my apartment without my permission in Mumbai?

My landlord in Mumbai entered my apartment last week without informing me while I was at work. I found out when my neighbor mentioned seeing him. I feel violated and uncomfortable with him entering my private space without consent. I confronted him, but he brushed it off, saying he was checking the water leak. What are my rights as a tenant in this situation? Can I take any legal action against him?
