Employer is forcing me to resign after serving only half my notice period?

I work at an IT company in Bangalore and I recently resigned with a 3-month notice period as per my contract. Now, after only 1.5 months, my manager is pressuring me to resign immediately, saying they have found a replacement. I'm not ready to leave yet, and this will affect my finances until I find another job. Can they force me like this? What are my legal options if they terminate my employment now?
