Can my cousin sell ancestral land claiming power of attorney without my consent?

My cousin in Chennai says he has power of attorney to sell our ancestral land. He hasn't shown any documents and is avoiding my calls. I'm worried he's trying to sell it without my consent. This land is important to our family, and I doubt he has the legal right to do this. How can I stop this sale and ensure the property is handled legally?
