Can my business partner sell company assets without informing me?

I started a small manufacturing business with my partner in Ahmedabad. Recently, I found out he sold some of our machinery without consulting me. We are equal partners in the business, and I feel completely betrayed. This has caused a major loss to the company, and I am unsure how to proceed legally.
