Brother took loan using our joint property without asking me?

I'm from Chennai and just found out that my brother took a loan of ₹10 lakh using our jointly owned property as collateral without my consent. I feel betrayed because this is our ancestral home. I came to know when the bank sent a notice. What should I do legally to protect my rights and get this resolved?
